Chief Financial Officer
National Diversity Council

An inclusive community, a better nation

The National Diversity Council (NDC) is the first non-profit organization to bring together the private, public and non-profit sectors to discuss the many dimensions and benefits of an inclusive environment. Launched in the fall of 2008, the NDC is a forerunner of national organizations that champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across the country and globally. The NDC comprises state and global councils, cultural and sector initiatives, and DEI services.

Vision Mission
The vision of the National Diversity Council is to cultivate a nationwide network of affiliated councils to advance diversity, equity and inclusion by transforming our workplaces and communities into inclusive environments where individuals are valued for their talents and empowered to reach their fullest potential. The mission of the National Diversity Council is to be both a resource and an advocate for the value of diversity, equity and inclusion. The NDC serves as the umbrella organization to support our markets and initiatives, which foster an understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion as a dynamic strategy for business success and community well-being.

The NDC is a non-partisan 501-c3 organization dedicated to being both a resource and an advocate for the value of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The NDC offers and supports a number of key initiatives:
Events The NDC promotes diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and community through various events and programs. These programs not only address the need for DEI best practices in the workplace, but they also promote engagement and dialogue around these topics.
NDC Certification Program The NDC Certification Program prepares professionals to create and lead successful diversity, equity and inclusion strategies for organizational excellence and a competitive edge in today’s global marketplace. The program blends theory and practice during a 5-day intensive curriculum and ongoing professional development through the NDC Graduate Network.
NDC Consulting & Training The NDC provides support and strategy direction for companies to formulate and implement successful DEI initiatives. The NDC has a number of services ranging from training and consulting to research and benchmarking.
Internship Programs The NDC assists in leadership development among underrepresented youth and college students. We are committed to supporting these individuals through an internship program that links talent to organizations that value DEI in their organizational culture.
NDC Index The NDC Index is a benchmarking tool that measures organizational commitment to DEI among companies in the U.S. Through an annual survey, the Index rates company performance on CEO engagement and corporate initiatives, policies, and programs. The NDC Index recognizes companies with a score of 90 or higher as the Best U.S. Companies for Diversity.
Partnerships The NDC provides an opportunity for individuals and organizations to establish partnerships, share DEI best practices and promote brand names as DEI leaders within the workplace and community.

The Opportunity

In this era of change, empowerment and unity intersecting across communities, the NDC is committed to growing its national and global footprint. With the support of various organizations, industries, business leaders, and community members, the NDC will continue to advocate for DEI, spearheading initiatives to create more equitable and inclusive spaces and developing ways to ensure DEI is at the forefront.
