JOB TITLE: Web Developer Intern

 EMPLOYER:  National Diversity Council

 DEPARTMENT: Communications Department

REPORTS TO:Communications Manager

 SUMMARY:The National Diversity Council (NDC), a non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization that champions diversity as a business imperative, has an opening for a Web Developer Intern to join our organization. We seek an individual who is a fast learner with great attention to detail and problem-solving.     

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content Management:

  • Upload formatted images to AWS (Amazon Web Services) with an understanding of bucket management and file
  • Perform text edits and content updates on WordPress-based websites, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand

 

Photo and Logo Formatting: 

  • Utilize Adobe Photoshop to format and adjust photos and logos for optimal web
  • Ensure all graphics are optimized for loading performance without compromising

 

Data and Reports Management: 

  • Download and manage reports of registrations for various events and
  • Download reports of awards, nominations, and other relevant

 

Salesforce Administration: 

  • Add and manage formatted photo links in
  • Update and edit event data in Salesforce, handling both urgent and non-urgent
  • Assist with Salesforce-related tasks including but not limited to photo formatting and data

 

Website Maintenance: 

  • Regularly assess multiple websites for broken links and
  • Implement fixes for identified issues to maintain website functionality and user

 

Creative Contribution: 

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new website designs, especially for new event web pages and internal communications

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current College Senior or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related position
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and
  • Experience with WordPress and
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • Ability to work and excel in an individual and team environment
  • Strong communications skills
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
  • Creative and flexible
