POSITION DESCRIPTION
EMPLOYER: National Diversity Council
DEPARTMENT: Learning & Consulting
REPORTS TO: AVP of Learning & Consulting
SUMMARY: The role of the Coordinator, Learning & Consulting is to assist in the implementation of strategies, initiatives, and programs. The Coordinator, Learning & Consulting also represents the NDC externally, acting as a liaison to partners, clients, and communities to promote the mission of the organization. This is a virtual position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will work closely with the AVP, L&C to assist in the implementation of strategies, initiatives, and programs aimed at improving operational efficiencies in:
● Program Engagement:
○ Assist in the development of meeting materials, presentations, proposals, speaker panels, and/or event communications for L&C events
○ Support the planning and Zoom production of L&C events, workshops, and training sessions.
○ Manage departmental events and collateral graphic design calendar
○ Maintain and update state agencies registrations for NDC as a supplier vendor
○ Manage HRCI, SHRM and any other certification application and renewal process
○ Organize quarterly NDC Graduate Network virtual networking event
○ Maintain and develop departmental agenda’s for bi-weekly meetings
● Data Management:
○ Assist in survey creation, managing responses, and data analysis from departmental surveys and assist in preparing reports and presentations.
○ Provide monthly report of L&C program program participation, highlighting trends and data insights
○ Provide monthly report of client company list to NDC P&E & Management Team Monthly from all L&C program participants and consulting prospects/clients
● Research:
○ Assist in research efforts to identify best practices, benchmarks, and emerging trends in diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and accessibility as input to designing and implementing L&C initiatives
○ Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to diversity, equity, and inclusion
○ Perform competitive research, data manipulation and analysis
○ Conduct research to identify requests for funding proposals in Government and Nonprofit sectors
● Marketing & Communications:
○ Identify opportunities to expand awareness of NDC L&C programs to diverse populations
○ Create social media content related to our impact on DEIB
○ Assist in developing presentations and other materials for websites, eblast, social media, and internal communication.
○ Assist in managing departmental communications calendar
● Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
● Minimum of 1-3 years of demonstrable and relevant experience in developing and executing successful learning programs
● Knowledge of the diversity, equity, and inclusion space
● Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills
● Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Calendar, Meet) and SalesForce
● Solid knowledge of Zoom virtual learning platform
● Excellent writing, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
● Fantastic organizational and time management skills
● Ability to work independently and make recommendations to the CLC on how to improve the program
● Strategic and creative mindset
● Meticulous attention to detail
● Must be able to travel between 25 to 30%
● Ability to cultivate partnerships to establish long-term opportunities
● Provide own cell phone

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
● Work Environment – Remote
● This position requires travel 25-30% of the year
● Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
