Stan C. Kimer, founder and president of Total Engagement Consulting and is recognized as an internal/external consultant with unique skills in employee development/career mapping, workplace diversity (all areas but with deep specialization in LGBTQ – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer), and leadership development. Stan formed his own consultancy around these areas in 2010 following a 31-year successful diverse, multi-functional career at IBM. During his four years on IBM’s global corporate diversity staff, Stan led IBM into industry leadership in LGBT diversity and established IBM’s procedures for supporting transgender employees and assisting with case management of employees undergoing gender transition while in the workplace. The mission of the NDC ERG Academy is to be a resource to both individuals and organizations seeking to start, grow or fully utilize their employee resource groups. The virtual academy blends theory and practice over a 6-hour interactive curriculum, with the development of an action plan to effectively lead ERGs for greatest business impact and sustainability. Upon completion of the academy, participants will: ● Articulate the compelling business case for ERGs. ● Gain the most current knowledge and trends related to ERGs. ● Identify the mechanics for successful formation and nurturing of ERGs based upon a wide range of best practices. ● Understand how to work effectively with diversity councils, HR leadership, and various ERGs within the organization and across industries. ● Apply the competencies needed for successful ERG leadership within various roles. including ERG leaders, ERG executive sponsors, and HR practitioners charged with ERG efforts. ● Develop an action plan with strategies and tactics for ERGs, including metrics to measure effectiveness.
